Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.Add butter or oil. Stir in the butter softened or chopped into small cubes.Add the warm water until the dough is soft and not sticky.Knead the dough for a couple of minutes and pull off about 12 little balls. Let them set for 10 minutes or more.Dust each ball with a little flour and flatten with your hands or a rolling pin, almost as thin as possible.Heat a skillet, frying pan or griddle to medium heat. Heat each side of each tortilla for a few seconds, with brown spots on each side. Place the cooked tortillas on a paper towel or tortilla warmer.
